Tribute to Guruji and Light on Yoga - Day 19
Asteya is the another of the Yamas and means non-stealing. Again the "a" before means not and "steya" means stealing.
Humans have a large desire to posses what another has and many will do much to covet these things. It need not only be physical possessions but also fame and power.
Mr. Iyengar writes that, "The yogi reduces his physical needs to the minimum, believing that if he gathers things he does not really need, he is a thief." and that, "Freedom from craving enables one to ward off great temptations."
Today try to notice when you maybe take more then really need.
