Yoga aims to develop endurance, balance, strength and align the body correctly. Not only does yoga help to improve your physical wellbeing..but also your mental well being. Please check with your doctor before starting any practice, especially if you have prior health issue.

All kidding aside, I do hope everyone is doing well during these unsettled times. This too shall pass and I hope everyone and their friends and families stay as healthy as possible.
Yoga, on the surface may seem like a frivolous thing during this time, but I know from other hard moments in my life, it was Yoga that helped me through. I have been reading Mr. Iyengar's book, Light on Life, online for the last few days and will continue for as long as can. He writes about his Yogic Journey that, "It would be impossible to overestimate the gratitude I bear to this great subject that saved and uplifted me."
At this time, like so many others, I have cancelled all my classes for at least the next few weeks. As the timing is uncertain, I will postpone the start of my Spring Session. I did want to honour a post I made about a special on an online private class with me though. Please message me if you are interested in a private online session. I also have many other great past online sessions that you can access and am currently having a March online and Yoga for Sports online session and have an April session beginning. I have posted below some of the options to these classes.

Thanks to the Iyengar Yoga Association of Canada for funding to support a local program in the Prince Albert area - Yoga For Sports.
I have prepared this program based on B.K.S. Iyengar's book - Yoga for Sports: A Journey towards Health and Healing, and my years of training as an Iyengar yoga teacher.
I really enjoyed sports as a youth and still do today. I wish I had had proper yoga training when I was younger, not just a few yoga postures. Although this can be a good introduction to yoga in schools, there really is a lot more to developing the mind, cultivating the breath and learning when to keep going and when it is better to recuperate. Sports persons, dancers and musicians must practice a lot. This can take their toll not just physically, but mentally and emotionally - and if not in tune with yourself, can begin to weigh one down with all the other responsibilities.
This program is about Yoga to attain excellence - in flexibility, strength, speed, agility, coordination, concentration, balance and stability. It also will give tips and yoga practices for games/performances & during travel, recovery from strains, how to overcome over-training and relaxation and rejuvenation for exhaustion and fatigue.
Each class will have a different theme andaddress the whole body, breath and mind.
I will be teaching this class at Ballet N' All That Jazz in Prince Albert beginning on February 29th - April 4th. The funding will cover much of the costs so everyone can attend for a very low price of $30 for 6 classes.
