Light on Yoga - Day 33
Tribute to Guruji and Light on Yoga - Day 33
From that steady flow of uninterrupted concentration come Dhyana (meditation) and the yogi's mind is illuminated.
Mr. Iyengar also writes that the sadhaka's body, breath, senses, mind, reason and ego are all integrated in the object of his contemplation, which is the Universal Spirit.
From here the yogi becomes a light unto himself as he feels supreme bliss, sees light that shines beyond the earth and heavens and thus sees the light that shines in his own heart.
In Light on Yoga, Mr. Iyengar writes that some signs of progress on the path of Yoga are health, a sense of physical lightness and freedom from craving creating a balanced, serene and tranquil mind.
Once free from the bondage of karma (action) the yogi becomes a Liberated Soul.
Namaste.
