Raise the vibration in the water you drink..

The "Spiral of Life", or triple-spiral is an ancient symbol of Celtic belief that has been connected to water. It is believed that all life moves in eternal cycles, and in three phases - birth, death and rebirth  or body, mind and spirit.
It was used to negate harmful energy.  It is also called a triskele or triskelion.

Originally they were made of copper, silver or gold.  The metals and the design they were twisted into created a bio electric and bio magnetic energy flow.

It is said that when placed in water or even around water, the triskele raises the vibration of the water, and the higher the vibration, the better for us.
The metals when spiraled into this sacred geometrical shape also alters the molecular structure of the water.
You can also carry one with you to protect yourself from harmful electromagnetic fields.

Check out http://www.dancingwithwater.com/products/triskelions/ on how to make your own triskele and for more in depth information.
There is many other great websites with information pertaining to the Spiral of Life".

We did try a few experiments at home and really could taste a difference in the water when one had a triskele and one without.

So, as you raise your glass this long weekend, you can also raise your vibration.

Namaste.

Book Review - Label Lessons: Your Guide to a Healthy Shopping Cart

I just received my newest book to review from NaturallySavvy!
This one is not only free to me, but is free to you too!
It comes as an e-book, which is great because it is saving paper, but also because if you have a hand-held reader, iphone or whatever you can keep it with you while you shop and look up things when you are in the store.

It is called Label Lessons: Your Guide to a Healthy Shopping Cart
Check out the link for your free copy.

It is similar to another book they have written, that I also reviewed called, Unjunk Your Junk Food.

The authors, Andrea Donsky and Lisa Tsakos have taken great care to produce a book with lots of great information in an appealing way.  This book teaches how to properly read product labels and compares not only food, but supplements and personal care items.
By giving you alternatives to the usual you are not left thinking, ok great, but what else am I supposed to use?

They show actual labels, so you can start to learn and see for yourself how things are snuck into products that you might have thought were safe and how marketing might trick us into thinking somethings was good for us.

In the book there is also some great coupons, so you can try some of the alternatives for yourself.
The task of changing our cupboards to more healthy options can be daunting, but it can be done and you and your family will not only be healthier, but also more educated about your choices. I think when we have all the information we then are able to make the best choices for ourselves and our families.

Naturally Savvy has also partnered with Holistic Moms Network and for every e-book that is shared from the link given in this blog, they will donate $1.00 to the Holistic Moms Network.

So for the free e-book click this link.

What does Charity Mean to You?

Guruji, B.K.S. Iyengar is a person who has completely incorporated the eight-limbs of yoga into his daily life.  He has taken the teachings of Patanjali and off the mat and made it a reality in his life.

He lives by the quote,
"Giving does not impoverish, withholding does not enrich."

When asked by Rajvi H. Mehta, "What does charity mean to you?"

Mr. Iyengar replied:

"We should not be narbhakshakas (cannibals). We are human beings, so we should have the qualities to help human beings.  That is what I feel is charity."

What does charity mean to you?

Essential Oils to Raise Your Vibration

Essential Oils to Raise Vibration

Essential oils have been used in healing and medicine for centuries.
Essential oils are the volatile liquid distilled from plants.  The purity and the value of the oils depends on many factors like: the part of the plant used to extract the oil, soil condition, fertilizer used (organic or chemical), geographical region obtained from, climate, altitude, time of year harvested, method of harvest and the distillation process.

My interest in the healing and preventative properties of plants and oils started years ago while doing field work and vegetation studies.  Although I still have a vast amount to learn, I feel it is another area that enhances my yoga and meditation practice.

Pure essential oils in the body can help to balance disharmony in frequencies in the body.

Because everything has an electrical frequency, this frequency can be measured as a rate of electrical charge (MHz). Studies have been done showing that even within the body, different organs, etc. flow at different frequencies, and this also varies if day or night and if healthy or sick.

The frequencies have also been measured in essential oils. The bio- electrical frequency has been found to be several times greater then those found in the human body.

So, studies done have shown that the use of essential oils can raise the frequency of the human body, helping to restore it to a healthy level.

For example, one study referenced in Reference Guide for Essential Oils, by Connie and Alan Higley said that the human brain has a frequency of 72-90MHz, Human Body during the day 62-68MHz, Flu Symptoms 57MHz, Cancer 42MHz, processed/canned food 0MHz, dry herbs 12-22HMz, fresh herbs 20-27MHz and essential oils 52-320MHz.

Our emotional state also affects our body's frequency.  Many essential oils can increase feelings of well being, confidence, joy, peace and be calming and relaxing.

Inhaled during yoga and meditation can have very positive effects!

From: Reference Guide for Essential Oils, by Connie and Alan Higley

Some of the benefits found with Pure, Therapeutic-Grade essential oils:
-essential oils embody the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune-strengthening properties of plants

-Essential oil molecules are small so can quickly penetrate the skin

-Essential oils contain oxygen molecules that help to transport nutrients to the starving human cells.

-Essential oils are powerful antioxidants, which helps create an unfriendly environment for free radicals.

-Essential oils are antibacterial, anti cancerous, anti fungal, anti-infectious, anti parasitic, antiviral and antiseptic.

-Essential oils containing sesquiterpenes have the ability to pass the blood-brain barrier, enabling them to be effective in the treatment of some diseases.

-Essential oils are aromatic, so when diffused provide air purification by removing metallic particles and toxins from the air, increasing atmospheric oxygen, increasing ozone and negative ions in the area, which inhibits bacterial growth; destroys odors from mold, cigarettes and animals

-Essential oils help promote emotional, physical and spiritual healing
